Syllabus


The syllabus for Juniors (1st to 18th Mon) and Seniors (9th to 1st Kyu) can be found in the BJA licence.

Junors wishing to take their gradings, which are organised termly within the club for Mons 1st to 6th, will only be graded if they have been working hard and in the view of the coaches have the skill necessary to work at the grade they wish to be awarded. The coaches will then assess each candidate against the following syllabus to see that they understand the terminology and can perform the necessary standing and ground techniques to a good standard as follows:
